TIME45-60 minutes
OWNERPrincipal or leader
ARTIFACTCeiling reflection + one limiting condition to study
SUCCESS CRITERIA
  1. You define the plateau in observable terms.
  2. You distinguish personal capacity, relationship, role, and system limits.
  3. You identify how your own leadership habits may reinforce the ceiling.
  4. You select one limiting condition to investigate with evidence.
IMPLEMENTATION STEPS
01

Name the plateau

Describe the priority, the progress once achieved, and the evidence that momentum has slowed or stopped.

02

Trace how the ceiling formed

Examine decisions, routines, dependencies, skills, authority, resources, and cultural expectations that shaped the current limit.

03

Locate your contribution

Identify where your presence, habits, control, availability, or avoidance may unintentionally keep the ceiling in place.

04

Choose the inquiry

Select one condition to study, define the evidence to gather, and schedule the return.

REFLECTION PROMPTS
  • Where am I working harder without expanding capacity?
  • What dependency has become normal?
  • Which explanation for the plateau have I not tested?
EQUITY GUARDRAILS
  • Do not frame structural under-resourcing as an individual leadership failure.
  • A ceiling may reflect necessary boundaries, rights, safety, or workload limits.
  • Study who benefits and who carries additional burden when influence expands.
