ARTIFACTEnergy-impact map + calendar reallocation
SUCCESS CRITERIA
  1. You map recurring tasks by energy effect and leadership impact.
  2. You identify work to protect, redesign, delegate, or stop.
  3. You test the equity and system consequences of reallocation.
  4. You make one concrete calendar change.
IMPLEMENTATION STEPS
01

Inventory the work

List recurring meetings, decisions, routines, interruptions, and responsibilities.

02

Map energy and impact

Place each item by energy return or drain and by low or high impact.

03

Decide what changes

Protect high-impact work; redesign, share, batch, or stop low-return work.

04

Reallocate the calendar

Make one visible scheduling or ownership change and set a review date.

REFLECTION PROMPTS
  • Which high-impact work is consistently crowded out?
  • Which drain is a design problem rather than a personal flaw?
  • What does the current calendar communicate about priorities?
EQUITY GUARDRAILS
  • Delegation must include authority, clarity, capacity, and support.
  • Do not offload undesirable work onto staff with less power.
  • Preserve required care, accessibility, and student-centered responsibilities.
